lighting considerations
-
Getting ready often occurs indoors. So choosing a location with large windows is going to be huge. Depending on the time of day and the direction of the sun, you may want to open up those curtains or close them partially. Your photographer can guide you, but we'll want enough light but nothing too harsh. It often works well to get close to a window and maximize that beautiful, natural light.
-
Not enough light will cause grainy, noisy images. There just isn't enough information for the camera to capture the details we want for a clear, crisp photo. If you're in a building with no windows, high ceilings, and low artificial light, there is not enough light.
- Detail shots need enough light too! If there isn't a good place with natural light, we will want to allow for some extra time to take them outside or to another spot in the venue that has a good window.
- It's also a great option to take some getting-ready photos outdoors! There is no rule that they have to be indoors. Bridesmaid reveals are fun outside too. Enjoy some examples of that below:)
